Ilene Meyers, club member, will present a program entitled “No sunrise, no sunset, no problem!” This program is about her trip to Bosnia and Montenegro where she encountered unusual lighting conditions.

For the first half of our meeting, our guest presenter is freelance photographer and writer, Stephen Collector. He has many years of experience doing editorial and commercial photography focusing primarily on the western United States. As well as his decades as a photographer, Stephen is the author of several photography books including The Law of the Range; Portraits of Old-Time Brand Inspectors. He also writes feature magazine articles specializing in hunting and fishing. Stephen’s program is about his film work, past to present, a retrospective of sorts. For the second half of our meeting, Stephen will critique member photographs. This is a critique only, no competition.

It’s March! Can you see the light at the end of the dark tunnel of winter? I know we’re probably due for several more snow events, but we’re heading out of it into Spring.

For the second hour of our meeting, Doug will be the judge of a monthly competition. As has been our practice, each member may submit up to 2 images in any of the 4 categories, Nature, Realism, Special Effects, or Special Topic. Only members may participate in the competition.

Deadline for image submittal is Monday noon, February 6.

This will be a members’ meeting, with Steve Wilton doing an opening presentation and then we’ll have a member critique as is usual for a members meeting. Every dues-paying member may share up to 2 images for group feedback. We will do a share screen from members’ computers rather than project them as we do for competition, but if you need that help from Peter, submit your images to him by noon on Monday, January 9. We won’t need to categorize the images for this meeting.
